I have been on a weight loss journey on and off this year. I really wanted to be healthier and of course, lose weight. I knew I needed to eat more fruits and vegetables but I just don’t like fruit. Before we get into the best smoothie recipes, you will need a good blender. I started off with a cheap blender and quickly realized I needed to invest in a better one.

Ingredients

  • 1 large fuji apple – unpeeled, cored and chopped into 4 pieces
  • 1 small frozen banana – chopped
  • 5 raw almonds or cashews
  • 1 Tablespoon flax seeds
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I like the Simply Truth Brand)
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (I used vanilla)
  • 1/4 finger of unpeeled ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • pinch of nutmeg

Directions

  • Add the milk and almonds or cashews and blend
  • Add all other ingredients into your blender.
  • Blend until all ingredients are mixed in well
  • Serve into your glass and enjoy

2) Peanut Butter Berry Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 2 teaspoons peanut butter
  • 4 ounces fat free greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes

Directions

  • Add the milk to the blender
